TASK FORCE BRIDE by Julie Miller

TASK FORCE BRIDE

ISBN: 9780373697113 (#1444)

USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR JULIE MILLER'S THE PRECINCT: TASK FORCE SERIES HEATS UP WHEN A PLAIN JANE AND AN EXPERIENCED COP POSE AS AN ENGAGED COUPLE.

Something about Hope Lockhart fascinated Officer Pike Taylor. The cop and his canine companion had been patrolling the neighborhood around Hope's bridal shop for months, trying to capture the criminal who targeted her. Was it the way she hid her voluptuous beauty beneath a plain Jane exterior?

Hope bore the scars of a troubling past. And despite a profession steeped in romance, she'd never known the love of a man. But when Pike is assigned to protect her by posing as her live-in fiancé, his tenderness may give Hope the courage to open her heart for the very first time.

  1. I really liked that this story is about a Plain Jane and a Scarred Joe who look for love while trying to protect those being stalked by the Red Rose Rapist. My favorite Book of the series.

I loved this book! The only downside is that I have to wait at least 3 months to find out what happens next! LOL

    1. YULETIDE PROTECTOR will be out Nov. 19, Laura. November 1st on Harlequin.com. A long enough wait, I know. But not quite 3 months! ;)

  4. Love this series, great as always Julie.

Still a bit miffed at Harlequin that One Good Man isn't available as an ebook in the US or UK, yet it is in Australia in a two pack with Sudden Engagement.

I mean it's the book that started the entire Taylor/Precinct series' and it's the only one I can't buy. Come on Hqn, my money's here for the taking just like it was a year and a half ago when you said you'd "look into" making it available. :(

    1. I share your frustration. Sigh. All I know to do is to send messages directly to Harlequin--through their Reader Service and/or through the Harlequin.com website. They have a discussion dedicated to reader requests like this.
