TRAP, SECURE by Carol Ericson

An injured woman's only hope of figuring out who she is relies upon a CIA Agent in Carol Ericson's Brothers in Arms: Fully Engaged miniseries.

The last thing Miranda Lewis remembers is being shot…then tumbling over the balcony. When a sexy, blue-eyed stranger finds her, she has no memory of who she is or what she's doing in the jungles of Colombia.

Gage Booker risked his life in the raid on the compound, only to discover his quarry gone and an injured woman left for dead, a woman the covert operative would be a fool to trust. But her amnesia seems real—and so does the passion exploding between them.

Before and After

Keeping it simple today.  It has been a super busy summer and I'm cracking down on an October deadline.

But I thought I'd share some before and after pictures with you of some of the projects I've worked on this year.

What my desk looked like while writing TASK FORCE BRIDE
My TASK FORCE BRIDE books are here!

Took out 2 birch trees that didn't survive last year's drought (although they survived an ice storm, a blizzard and a tornado)

Planted a new oak tree

The old door and windows were original to the house
Aren't the new door and oak trim gorgeous?

New, solid siding is up! (still needs to be painted)
Hail and water damaged siding

I invite you to share about something you've transformed in the past year, too--your workspace, your waistline, your garden, your hairstyle--whatever, big or small.

I'll give away a copy of my current release, TASK FORCE BRIDE, to one lucky commenter. Print or ebook, winner's choice. And if you have it already (thank you!), you can pick a title from my backlist.

(I'll have Maggie pick the winner tomorrow and I'll post it here. Thanks for stopping by!)

Happy Transformations!

PALO DURO CANYON

Research trip: THE MARINE'S LAST DEFENSE

Tim and I returned from Amarillo, Texas through Palo Duro Canyon.

Just a quick drive-by because neither of us had ever been. It's now on our places we want to camp list. Some week in the future...because it would take a week to do all the hiking and exploring we'd like to do.

It's not the grand canyon, but it's still very majestic and breathtaking.

I've shared this picture before. Tex and Dallas (we lost her just a couple of days after this picture). She was fearless, jumping right up on the wall to get a look.

We snaked our way down the canyon walls. Tim's first thought: a great ride on his bicycle. Me? Not so much.

One of the paths at the bottom. We can't wait to go back and do some real hiking.

It would be nice to see everything in bloom. It would be a lot warmer too. A couple of days after this everything was covered in snow.

Of course, I was inspired. There's a book brewing about this canyon. Palo Duro didn't make it into The Marine's Last Defense (January 2014, Harlequin Intrigue). But our sweet Dallas did.

I'm giving away a book today to a random blog commenter. Would you like a signed copy of Protecting Their Child or Dangerous Memories? I'm also throwing in a Texas souvenir.

What's your favorite season?
