That's where I live. A lovely place, especially in the spring.
Here are some pictures I took on a walk with Tex and a writing buddy who drove down to get out of the snow. It was the perfect MAY DAY.
But Texas is experiencing winter's lingering edge. We had the three coldest days in May on record... I know...it's not snow. LOL.
JUST TO THE LEFT OF THE ROSE GARDEN IS A PLACE FOR HORSESHOES.
THE VIEW FROM THE PLAYGROUND.
THERE'S A PAVILION AND AMPHITHEATER JUST TO THE RIGHT. ALONG WITH A BASKETBALL COURT.
Spring is here when the roses begin blooming. A friend told me that spring is here when the grass turns green. And I have many friends who say they know spring's arrived when their allergies are in full swing.
What about you?
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK SPRING HAS ARRIVED IN YOUR HOME TOWN?

What an inspiring place to live. Your pictures are beautiful. I love your books but you would make a great photographer also. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda. I love photographs. My friend who was here liked all the pictures hanging around the house, too. I'd love to be a photographer...but I'll admit, I love taking photos of what I like.

I'm not real sure spring ever arrived here for more than one or two days as we have been in the high seventies and eightys for most of the time...although a couple of nights were in the sixties.
ReplyDeletePS. I love the pictures..
The 80's... I'm ready for some of that weather, Ellen. Tim's been in Houston this week, telling me how warm the sunshine is while is 43 here. LOL -- But I know, folks, 43 is still not snow.

P.S. THANKS !
I know when Spring has arrived because the whole town is in bloom. Our town has a massive festival in Spring - The Carnival of Flowers. It's spectacular.
ReplyDeleteAwe, Mary....stop teasing me. LOL I need pictures.

So pretty, Angi! The flowers are just now starting to bloom/trees starting to bud out here in Nebraska. Of course, we still had snow on the ground last week, too. But it's feeling like spring now.
ReplyDeleteWe stopped at a fresh fruit stand on the way to Louisiana yesterday. It had the most beautiful, vibrant-colored flowers. They'll be on my personal blog this next week.
DeleteI really feel for you gals who had snow the first week of May. Brrr....
