DANGEROUS MEMORIES

Good morning Intrigue lovers.

I hope everyone survived the "holiDAZE" and unlike me, you have all your lights down and decorations put away. I have a deadline this week and a trip to NYC tomorrow. So why am I blogging? LOL  Well...what was the question again? >>>grin<<<

The beginning of the year's normally a time to reflect and evaluate what went right and what went wrong...and make goals to be better.   So my contest to celebrate my February release is called FAVORITE MEMORIES.

One of the things my husband and I do is short trips around the country, mainly in a pop-up camper or connected to one of his business trips. We love to take pictures (as many of you know I post on Facebook and A Picture A Day)-- What you may not know is that almost every picture in our house was also taken by us (just recently printed two by my cousin Rick Minick) or has been painted by my mom. I love this. (We do have professional portraits of kids. LOL)

Having the pictures around us (which we rotate throughout the year using the same frames), well, it reminds us of the fun and good memories we had from that trip. So some of our favorite memories are constantly in view.

I hope 2013 is filled with lots of memories that become favorites !!

Register for my January FAVORITE MEMORIES basket contest through Rafflecopter. You can get started by watching my book trailer (below).
I'm adding to the basket every week... right now, I have one of my favorite movies KNIGHT & DAY; and one of my favorite puzzles which features classic Harlequin Covers. No tellin' what favorite thing I'll add next week. You can earn an extra entry by tweeting about my book trailer every day.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE MEMENTO or souvenir or gift that you see to remind you of happy times. Leave a comment and you're name will be added to the Basket Drawing as an additional entry.

  1. Hmmm, something that holds a great memory... I have this blanket that my grandmother gave me years and years ago... everytime I use it or look at it, it brings back memories of my grandmother... lets me remember that I had such a wonderful and special person in my life.

  2. I have some beautiful solid gold earrings from Saudi Arabia that I bought at a neat little market in 1976 when our family lived there! What an experience it was for us! I will never forget that wonderful country and the terrific people we met while living there.

I went to see Phantom of the Opera in the theater when I was in the sixth grade. Since then I have gotten snow globes, cds t-shirts and other items that are Phantom related. Seeing any of them remind me of that amazing trip!

  5. I have so many memories of a lot of different places my husband and I have traveled to. I used to buy vases everywhere I went so when I look at my collection they bring a lot of memories back. One of my favorite vases is one that my husband, his mother, my parents and I watched being made in Cannon Beach, Oregon. The glass blower allowed us to purchase the vase we saw her create but we had to go back the next day to pick it up as it had to be fired overnight. She then personalized it for me.

This vase brings back a lot of memories of the various trips my husband and I took and dragged the three parents along willingly with us.

  7. gift that I think is very impressive when I first got the cd player (actually this is secondhand player) but i'm so happy because when I was a kid, our family was not wealthy so as to buy luxury items (such as electronics etc) we do not have more funds :(
