New Release

That's the cover of my new Intrigue, SECRET DELIVERY, that officially hits the shelves tomorrow. It's book four of my Texas Paternity miniseries, and the series will wrap up in October with CHRISTMAS GUARDIAN. I've had a blast writing about these five single Texas dads raising children who aren't their own, and for those following the series, I hope you've enjoyed the books.

I've already started a new series that will be out next year, and I'm having so much fun!! I'm at the stage where I can just play with the characters and plots, and as the release date draws closer, trust me, I'll tell you all about them. :)

But here's my question for you. Do you like author miniseries, or do you prefer books that stand alone?

  1. Hard question to answer because I like both. I do like miniseries especially if they have the same characters and you get to find out what happens to them after the main characters have their HEA. But I also like stories that stand alone. I guess it depends on how the secondary characters are portrayed and how attached I get to them. And I hope this makes sense!

  2. That makes perfect sense, Ellen, because that's the way I am. I want to know what's happening to those characters after their stories have ended.

  3. Estella, that's good for me because I love to write both. :)

  4. I really enjoy mini series, I think you get to catch up a little bit with characters that you loved in other books

  5. I love both and I am always wondering about the characters after finishing a book no matter which it is. The only time I didlike a mini series is when I miss out on the first one and have trouble finding it.

  6. Beth, I agree! Sometimes, I love a character so much that I wish the author would write another book just so I know what the character is doing.

Connie, I don't like it either when I miss a book in a miniseries. I remember reading the JD Robb In Death books, and normally it doesn't hurt to miss one, but I missed the one where a key character revealed she was pregant. The next one I read, I went HUH? When did that happen? Lol

I like both of them. Even books in a mini series can stand alone indvidually. I love being able to keep with the characters as you go though a mini series.
I missed books in mini series before and Im like what's going on here and what did I miss people.

  8. I like both, I just hate having to wait for the next book in mini series. I get so wrapped up in the character that I have a hard time waiting. I like the mini series where the books come out one after the other, but the ones that have a 2 or more month wait in between sometimes drive me nuts.

  9. Patsy, yes--that's true about mini series books standing alone. The books in Texas Paternity all stand alone, but I do have "shared" characters showing up in several books.

Denise, I hate waiting too, mainly because I forget what's going on. LOL. I had to re-read one of Nora's Blood Brother books because I'd forgotten what I read by the time the next mini series book came out.
